From Wikipedia Olive oil is a fruit oil obtained from the olive (Olea europaea; family Oleaceaealong with lilacs, jasmine and ash trees), a traditional tree crop of the Mediterranean Basin. The wild olive tree originated in Asia Minor, today the country of Turkey.[1] It is commonly used in cooking, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and soaps and as a fuel for traditional oil lamps. |

From Wikipedia Arbequina olives are small, brown olives mostly grown in Catalonia, but also in Aragon, Andalusia and even Argentina. The name comes from the town of Arbeca; however, this variety is said to be actually originally from Palestine. As well as being a table olive, it is used to produce a highly valued olive oil. Generally, arbequina-based olive oils are more buttery, with a slightly peppery finish.
